Slieve Mish is a wonderful mountain range at the beginning of the Dingle Peninsula. As a result of it's location, the views can be stunning in the right conditions, with views of Dingle Bay, Inch Beach, and the far off mountains of the Macgillycuddy Reeks and the hills of the Beara Peninsula. This route takes in three peaks: Castle Hill (600m), with it's impressive rock formations; Baurtregaum (854m), the tallest peak of the hike; and Caherconree (835m). The terrain will likely be quite wet and boggy in parts, with a few steep sections. Length: 14.5km, elevation gain: 1010m.

You must have been on a Beginner Hike with the UCC Mountaineering Club (or have sent proof of experience and received approval) in order to join this Intermediate Hike.

You also must have hiking boots with ankle support, i.e. they must fully cover and support your ankle. If you don't have any, ones can be purchased in Cork's outdoor shops such as Outdoor Adventure Store, 53 Degrees North, Regatta, or Lidl even sells them sometimes.
