Shop Terms and Conditions

While every effort will be made to ensure that you have a good experience while making use of our portal payment platform we understand that mistakes and changes of mind can occur. Please find below the explanation of how to proceed when requesting a cancellation of a payment and a refund to your account.

Please note that UCC is simply processing payments on behalf of the clubs and have no direct responsibility for the management of the Portal Payment Facility or Sports Clubs Shop. When you make a purchase through the Sports Clubs Shop you are making a transaction between yourself as an individual and the Club selling goods or services. 

This policy is made out to be fully compliant with your statutory rights as a customer.

Terms of Cancellation
To request a cancellation and refund please contact both the club from which the purchase was made and the Sports Office (sport@ucc.ie). Please see below the categories of refund that we shall be able to facilitate.

Terms of Refund


Refund of Clothing
Upon receipt of a clothing item you have purchased you have fourteen days to request a refund. After requesting the refund you will be required to return the item of clothing within fourteen days. If the item of clothing is returned within fourteen days a full refund will be processed.

In the case where the item of clothing has been damaged or is visibly diminished a full refund may not be allocated and will be at the discretion of the Club committee to whom payment was made.
For personalised items of clothing refunds will not be possible. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Refund of Event
For club events where contributions or tickets shall be sold through the Portal Payment Facility the below returns procedure will be used. Any requests should be made to sport@ucc.ie within fourteen days of payment.

For any events with a specific time and date a request for a refund of the ticket will be at the discretion of the Club committee to whom payment was made.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Where payments for travel or accommodation are made for tickets or lodgings with a set date and time refunds will be at the discretion of the Club committee to whom payment was made. This does not affect your statutory rights.


Where a refund is approved all refunds will be processed within fourteen days of approval where possible.

Members’ Rules for Club Trips

Note: If you are in breach of any of the rules, you may be subject to university disciplinary action or banned from future Club trips.

Note: If you present a danger to yourself or another member or multiple members on the trip you may also be asked to return to UCC immediately, and you may be liable for any costs incurred.

Everyone who signs up for the trip must be a current student of UCC for the duration of the trip.

You must have a passport for all trips outside of Ireland.

Trips are non-refundable once flights are booked.

NOTE if you purchase a ticket you must make an informed decision and be aware that restrictions may be imposed by your country of destination on people traveling from Ireland and you may lose the money you paid on the flight. Keep up to date on travel restrictions.

Members are required to obey the following rules. Members must:

• Be aware of the hazards involved

• Must not jeopardize your own health & safety or that of others.

• Must follow instructions given by trip leaders and officers.

• Must attend any training provided.

• Must inform officers or trip leaders of any medical condition that may affect your ability to participate, or affect emergency first aid treatment.

• You are responsible for making an informed decision as to whether it is a suitable activity for you.

• If consuming alcohol, you must drink responsibly and in a manner which will not endanger your own safety and health and that of others.

• You must never participate in potentially hazardous physical activities while under the influence of alcohol.

• Inform yourself of, and respect, local customs and laws

• Must stay in groups of no less than 3.

• Ensure in the event of receiving medical treatment that you are 100% satisfied that you have received all the medical treatment you require before being discharged.

• Inform the club at the time of booking if you have annual insurance, if not, insurance will be purchased for you at time of booking the flight.

• If driving, you will do so in a safe and responsible manner.

• Members must implement the buddy system and make sure the other 3 appointed are present and safe and ready to get on the bus.

• Must not leave the venue during the evening.

• Must be ready for the bus at the appointed time.

• You must inform the trip leader if you don’t intend to return on the bus.

• No drinking on the bus.

• Must wear any protective gear provided.
